Candles
Dad, one day in the hospital, in the midst of everything, you called out my name loudly "Carla". I answered "I'm here dad, don't worry". You laughed and a moment later you called out my name a second time. I gave exactly the same answer and you laughed again. This happened five times in a row. I will always remember your laugh in those moments when I thought you were lost. I miss you dad, but this candle will shine bright in your name and in my heart. ❤

It's coming up to the time I received the call from the hospital, dad. I'm clock watching......
Every day there is a moment where I get a flash of memory and every day I miss you. Mum's OK, but today she's cried a lot. We both have.
Today has been sad, too. A year of loss and still the pain is acute. This candle is just to say I love you. Sleep well, dad. Sleep in peace. You will never be forgotten ❤️
